Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize performance across hybrid infrastructure
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise backup solutions (Veeam)
- Implement cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, endpoint protection, and access controls
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning
- Document procedures and provide Tier-3 technical support to internal teams
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in Windows/Linux environments
- Expert knowledge of Azure/AWS cloud services and hybrid architecture
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or Linux+ preferred
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, PowerShell) and scripting (Python/Bash)
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license for occasional off-site support
