Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network configurations
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise backup solutions (Veeam/Commvault)
- Implement cybersecurity measures including firewalls, intrusion detection, and compliance frameworks
- Coordinate hardware/software deployments, updates, and migrations with minimal downtime
- Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports
- Provide Tier-3 support and mentor junior IT staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019) and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) administration
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or equivalent required; CCNA/Cybersecurity+ preferred
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell/Python/Bash) for automation
- Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds/Nagios) and ITIL practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
