Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain on-premise servers and hybrid cloud environments (Azure/AWS) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce robust security protocols, manage Active Directory, and conduct regular security audits to protect sensitive data against threats.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop PowerShell and Python scripts to automate routine tasks, streamline workflows, and reduce manual intervention.
- Performance Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus) to proactively identify and resolve system bottlenecks and hardware failures.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and execute comprehensive backup and disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime during critical incidents.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior system administrators and collaborate with DevOps engineers to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with hardware and software vendors to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of technical resources.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent experience accepted).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Operating Systems: Deep proficiency in Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis and preventative maintenance.
- Communication: Ability to translate complex technical jargon into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
