Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Linux/Windows server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection systems
- Oversee backup/recovery systems and disaster recovery planning with 99.9% uptime SLAs
- Automate infrastructure workflows using Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell
- Diagnose and resolve complex system outages with root cause analysis
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Document system configurations and maintain compliance with SOC 2 standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Windows Server 2019+ and RHEL/CentOS
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware vSphere/Hyper-V) and cloud services (AWS/Azure)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation
- CCNA/Security+ or equivalent network certification required
- Proven experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds)
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for equipment maintenance
