Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments across on-premises and AWS/Azure cloud platforms
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and SolarWinds to prevent outages
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN infrastructure for 500+ endpoints
- Automate deployment processes using Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and implement backup/restore procedures
- Document system configurations and create SOPs for operational excellence
- Collaborate with security teams to harden systems against emerging threats
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Windows Server 2019+ and Linux (RHEL/CentOS)
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) with hands-on experience in IaaS/PaaS services
- Certification required: CompTIA Server+ or equivalent; preferred: AWS SysOps or Azure Administrator
- Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell/Bash and automation frameworks
- Strong understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls)
- Experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere/Hyper-V) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proven track record in high-availability environments with 24/7 operational support
