Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows Server, Linux, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and maintain robust network security protocols (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
- Automate system administration tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning
- Lead system patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation
- Document IT infrastructure and create procedural guides
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expert proficiency with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell/Bash) and automation experience
- Cloud platform certifications (AWS/Azure) or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and container orchestration
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex network and server issues
