We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team in San Diego, CA. You will be responsible for the end-to-day management of our critical infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of our systems.
As a key member of our technical staff, you will lead technical initiatives, mentor junior administrators, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Manage, maintain, and monitor Linux and Windows server environments to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- System Optimization: Implement and maintain security patches, updates, and system configurations to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Disaster Recovery: Design, test, and execute robust backup and disaster recovery plans.
- User Support: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex hardware and software issues.
- Cloud Integration: Assist in the management and migration of on-premise infrastructure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Automation: Develop and deploy scripts (Python/Bash) to automate routine administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of Red Hat Linux, CentOS, and Windows Server.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, RHCE, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator preferred.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (BGP/OSPF).
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
