Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and Azure/AWS
- Implement robust backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery protocols
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Splunk
- Configure and maintain network security protocols (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
- Automate deployment processes using Ansible and PowerShell
- Document infrastructure changes and maintain accurate system inventories
- Provide Tier-3 support for complex system issues
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019+ and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or RHCSA preferred)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere) and cloud platforms
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and IT service management
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities with network fundamentals
- BS in Computer Science or related field
