Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server and Linux infrastructure across on-premises and AWS environments
- Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime SLAs
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network security protocols including firewalls and VPNs
- Automate deployment and maintenance tasks using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform
- Implement disaster recovery plans and conduct regular backup testing
- Collaborate with development teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
- Document system architecture and create runbooks for operational procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expert proficiency with Windows Server (2016/2019) and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM) and hybrid cloud integration
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V)
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, MCSA, Linux+, or AWS Certified SysOps Admin) preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
