Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios, resolving incidents within SLA targets
- Automate deployment and maintenance tasks using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute quarterly failover tests
- Document infrastructure changes and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- Expert-level certifications: Microsoft Azure/AWS Solutions Architect, CompTIA Server+
- Proven experience with hybrid cloud environments and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting abilities (PowerShell, Python) and infrastructure automation tools
- Experience with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and security best practices
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with complex multi-tiered systems
- Ability to mentor junior administrators and drive process improvements
