Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure Windows/Linux server environments and cloud infrastructure
- Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network configurations across hybrid environments
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell/Python to streamline operations
- Implement robust backup solutions and disaster recovery protocols
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce compliance standards (SOX, HIPAA)
- Document system configurations and create technical SOPs
- Mentor junior IT staff and lead cross-departmental IT projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience with Windows Server and Linux
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware vSphere/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or Linux+ required
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell/Python/Bash)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds)
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation
