Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Linux/Windows servers, virtualization platforms (VMware), and cloud services (AWS/Azure)
- Implement cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls
- Automate system provisioning using Ansible/Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor system performance with Nagios/Zabbix and resolve incidents within SLA
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning
- Lead infrastructure upgrades while minimizing operational disruption
- Document network architecture and create runbooks for critical systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering enterprise-level Linux/Windows environments
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or Microsoft Azure Administrator
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware vSphere), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash/PowerShell)
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and load balancing
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
