Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server environments using Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server.
- System Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Nagios) to proactively identify and resolve system anomalies.
- Security Administration: Configure firewalls, manage VPNs, and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive data against cyber threats.
- Scripting & Automation: Write Bash and Python scripts to automate routine tasks, improve system performance, and reduce manual intervention.
- Backup & Recovery: Develop and execute robust backup strategies to ensure data integrity and facilitate rapid disaster recovery.
- Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, including VLAN configuration and routing protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all systems, configurations, and processes.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in Linux administration and Windows Server environments.
- Cloud Knowledge: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Scripting: Ability to write and debug scripts in Bash or Python.
- Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and OSI model.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is a plus.
