Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage on-premise and cloud-based server infrastructure (Windows Server and Linux distributions).
- Implement and maintain robust network security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs to protect organizational assets.
- Perform routine system monitoring, health checks, and troubleshooting to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Manage Active Directory, user access control, and Identity Management (IAM) policies.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Oversee data backup and disaster recovery planning, conducting regular audits to ensure data integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server (2012-2022) and Linux administration.
- Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS or Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Solutions Architect, or MCSE are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
