Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments and virtualization infrastructure
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement security protocols
- Manage cloud resources across AWS and Azure with emphasis on cost optimization
- Coordinate disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restorations
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (Python/PowerShell/Bash)
- Document system configurations and maintain compliance with industry standards
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to IT process improvements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience with Linux and Windows Server
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and containerization technologies
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Certification in AWS/Azure or equivalent cloud platforms required
- Proven experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Ability to work rotating on-call schedule and respond to critical incidents
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to security best practices
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
