Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain the organization's servers, network infrastructure, and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Design, implement, and oversee cloud migration strategies using AWS or Azure.
- Configure and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policies, and network security protocols.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide Tier 3-level technical support to internal stakeholders and resolve complex hardware/software issues.
- Ensure data backup and disaster recovery procedures are current and tested regularly.
- Collaborate with the IT security team to enforce compliance and protect sensitive data.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or IT Support Specialist.
- Strong expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to offsite server locations within the Sacramento area.
