Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain on-premise servers, virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Implement and monitor robust security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to safeguard sensitive data.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for hardware, software, and network issues to ensure minimal downtime for business operations.
- Design and execute data backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Automate administrative tasks and deploy scripts (Python/Bash) to improve system efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and optimize existing workflows.
- Mentor junior IT staff and conduct technical training sessions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Strong proficiency in Linux (Red Hat, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Identity Management solutions.
- Experience with network configuration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Solutions Architect, or VCP are highly desirable.
