Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Linux/Windows server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust security protocols and conduct regular vulnerability assessments
- Oversee network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, and VPN configurations
- Automate system administration tasks using Ansible and PowerShell
- Monitor system performance using Nagios and Splunk, proactively resolving issues
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning
- Document IT infrastructure and create standard operating procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in system administration with enterprise environments
- Expert-level proficiency in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, RHCSA, or AWS Certified SysOps Admin) preferred
- Experience with scripting (Python/Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
