Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud services (AWS/Azure)
- Implement cybersecurity protocols, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems
- Oversee network infrastructure (routers, switches, VPN) and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Design disaster recovery plans and conduct regular backup/recovery testing
- Automate system administration tasks using PowerShell/Python/Bash scripts
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds
- Document IT processes and maintain configuration management databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification required
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure
