Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Architect and implement scalable software solutions and microservices for our core platform, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Weekend Operations: Manage critical system maintenance, patch deployments, and troubleshooting during designated weekend shifts to ensure zero downtime.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, conducting rigorous code reviews to maintain our high standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams to define requirements and deliver features on time.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a high-pressure environment, optimizing system architecture as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams to facilitate knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of shipping production-ready code.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work Weekend Shifts (e.g., Friday to Sunday or rotating weekends) as part of the on-call rotation.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Java; experience with React, Node.js, or AWS is highly desirable.
- Relocation: Must be open to relocating to San Diego, California and willing to utilize our relocation assistance program.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
