Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy backend microservices handling 10M+ daily transactions
- Lead weekend on-call rotations for production systems (Sat-Sun 8AM-8PM)
- Mentor 2-3 junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Optimize cloud infrastructure costs by 20% through resource monitoring
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Terraform
- Contribute to 3 quarterly hackathons and innovation sprints
- Document complex architectures using Confluence and Lucidchart
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in Go/Python/Java with distributed systems
- Expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda) and Kubernetes orchestration
- Strong background in event-driven architectures and message queues
- CI/CD pipeline implementation using Jenkins/GitLab CI
- Weekend shift availability (Sat-Sun 8AM-8PM CST)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Proven track record of mentoring junior developers
