Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices using Java/Python in AWS/GCP environments
- Lead weekend sprint planning and daily stand-ups (Friday-Monday 10AM-7PM)
- Optimize database performance for 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Mentor junior engineers through our structured onboarding program
- Conduct peer code reviews and enforce CI/CD best practices
- Drive innovation through quarterly hackathons and tech talks
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java/Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong background in RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- Proven track record of shipping production systems with 24/7 availability
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills with system design experience
