Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based applications using Java and Python
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and AWS
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical software solutions
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers on weekend rotation
- Optimize system performance and security protocols for high-availability platforms
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap planning
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and microservices architecture
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and infrastructure automation
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
