Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native microservices using AWS/GCP and containerization technologies
- Lead code reviews and architectural discussions for weekend team deliverables
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver bi-weekly sprints
- Optimize system performance while maintaining 99.99% uptime for mission-critical applications
- Document technical specifications and contribute to our engineering knowledge base
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical workshops
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for weekend deployment cycles
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java/Python/Go
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Ability to work independently and make technical decisions with minimal oversight
- Active US government security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with federal government projects (highly preferred)
