Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain high-performance backend services that operate 24/7.
- Execute complex database migrations and system patches during low-traffic weekend windows.
- Lead debugging sessions and root-cause analysis for critical production issues.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment pipelines and enhance system resilience.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers on weekend sprint teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with at least 2 years in a weekend shift or maintenance capacity.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently during off-hours.
