What You Will Do:
As a key member of our engineering squad, you will drive innovation, improve system architecture, and mentor a team of talented developers. You will have the autonomy to choose your work environment while delivering high-impact solutions.
- Full-Stack Development: Design and implement scalable software solutions using modern technologies.
- Remote Leadership: Thrive in a fully remote-first culture with occasional in-office collaboration.
- Relocation Support: Receive financial assistance and logistics support for moving to Chicago, IL.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code and conduct rigorous code reviews.
- System Architecture: Design robust cloud-native applications on AWS or Azure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-performance web applications using React, Node.js, or Python.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Ensure application security, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance within the team.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and sprint planning to ensure project milestones are met.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in software engineering.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team.
- Willingness to relocate to Chicago, Illinois (Relocation package included).
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
