Responsibilities
- Architect and implement real-time payment processing systems handling $10M+ daily transactions
- Optimize microservices infrastructure for 99.99% uptime across AWS/GCP
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and tech talks
- Lead CI/CD pipeline automation using Terraform and Kubernetes
- Conduct security audits and PCI-DSS compliance reviews
- Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Drive innovation through quarterly hackathons and R&D initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in distributed systems and payment processing
- Expert proficiency in Go, Python, or Java with microservices architecture
- AWS/GCP certification with production-level infrastructure experience
- Strong background in financial APIs (Stripe, Plaid, Dwolla)
- Proven track record of scaling systems to 10M+ daily transactions
- Contributions to open-source payment-related projects
- Experience with PCI-DSS compliance and security best practices
- Portfolio showcasing high-throughput SaaS applications
