Responsibilities
- Architect and implement microservices using Go and Python on AWS/GCP
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization using GitLab and Terraform
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical reviews
- Contribute to open-source projects and patent-pending innovations
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Optimize system performance for 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Conduct security audits and implement zero-trust architectures
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
- Expertise in at least two modern programming languages (Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript)
- Proven track record of owning production systems serving 1M+ users
- Strong background in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Portfolio demonstrating complex system design contributions
- Ability to thrive in async remote work environments
