Role Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software systems that handle complex equity options data. You will work closely with our trading floor and quantitative analysts to ensure our systems are robust, scalable, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize high-frequency trading algorithms and execution engines for equity options.
- Maintain and refactor legacy code to improve system reliability and throughput.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts to translate financial models into production code.
- Implement and enforce rigorous testing standards, including unit, integration, and load testing.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in real-time trading environments.
- Participate in code reviews and technical architecture discussions to drive engineering excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
- Deep understanding of equity options and financial markets concepts.
- Experience with distributed systems, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and database technologies (PostgreSQL, Redis).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
