As a Night Shift Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining system uptime, optimizing backend services, and ensuring seamless data integrity during non-business hours. This is an excellent opportunity for developers who thrive in a specialized, high-impact environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions optimized for 24/7 operations.
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues that arise during the night shift support cycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement feature enhancements and security patches.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior engineers.
- Write comprehensive documentation for technical processes and API integrations.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential downtime risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python or Java with strong understanding of OOP principles.
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Ability to work independently and effectively during night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM EST).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
