We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our elite 24/7 Operations team in Omaha. Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable backend services and APIs with a focus on performance and security.
- Monitor production systems in real-time to resolve incidents and prevent downtime during critical hours.
- Lead code reviews and technical design sessions for the night shift team.
- Perform routine database maintenance, backups, and migrations during low-traffic windows.
- Debug complex production issues and implement root cause analysis (RCA) for long-term fixes.
- Collaborate asynchronously with Day Shift engineers to ensure seamless integration of new features.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with night shift or on-call rotation experience.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go with strong knowledge of asynchronous programming.
- Extensive experience with AWS or Azure, including EC2, Lambda, and RDS.
- Deep understanding of Linux systems administration, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong grasp of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redis).
- Must be willing and able to work the night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
