Responsibilities
- System Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software components using modern languages (Java, Python, or Go).
- Production Support: Monitor system health, troubleshoot critical issues, and resolve bugs during the night shift to ensure zero downtime.
- Optimization: Analyze code and database performance to optimize throughput and reduce latency for our global user base.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with QA and DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and API specifications.
- Innovation: Participate in code reviews and technical design sessions to drive engineering best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work night shifts (e.g., 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM EST).
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in at least two major programming languages and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Problem Solving: Excellent debugging skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues under pressure.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
