Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that operate seamlessly during night shift operations.
- Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor system logs, databases, and APIs to identify and resolve anomalies before they impact users.
- Critical Support: Provide real-time technical support and troubleshooting for complex backend issues during your assigned night shift hours.
- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, conducting thorough code reviews to maintain high standards.
- Innovation: Research and implement new technologies to optimize system throughput and reliability for our Illinois and national clients.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and runbooks for all night shift processes.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, preferably in a 24/7 environment.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a consistent basis.
- Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or C#, and experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Database Skills: Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently in a remote-first, night-crew environment.
