Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy high-performance backend services and APIs.
- Debug and resolve complex production issues that arise during the night cycle.
- Optimize database queries and application performance to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to the engineering team.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and QA teams to define technical requirements and roadmaps.
- Participate in on-call rotations to handle critical incidents outside of standard hours.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct technical training sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend development.
- Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be willing and available to work the Night Shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM EST).
