Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers to uphold quality standards
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker for seamless deployments
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot complex system issues
- Contribute to architectural decisions for cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Document technical specifications and maintain clean, scalable code
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Java-based backend development
- Expertise in microservices architecture and RESTful API design
- Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and caching strategies
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills with system design challenges
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration
- Experience with fintech or high-transaction systems highly desirable
