Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software architecture for equity options trading engines.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts to model complex option pricing scenarios and implement them in code.
- Optimize low-latency systems to ensure real-time execution and minimize slippage in volatile markets.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices that integrate with clearinghouses and exchanges.
- Conduct code reviews and perform rigorous testing to ensure system reliability and security.
- Stay abreast of emerging financial technologies and programming paradigms to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in fintech or trading.
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and Java with a focus on performance optimization.
- Deep understanding of financial markets, specifically equity options, derivatives, and volatility modeling.
- Experience with distributed systems, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
