Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable backend services for equity options trading engines.
- Optimize database queries and system architecture to ensure high availability and low latency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) to define and deliver high-quality features.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor junior engineers to maintain high technical standards.
- Implement security best practices to protect financial data and transactions.
- Participate in the full SDLC, from technical design to production deployment.
- Debug complex issues in distributed systems and propose effective architectural solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of financial markets, specifically equity options, is highly preferred.
