Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices using Java/Spring Boot and cloud-native architectures
- Lead technical initiatives for our payment processing platform handling $2B+ in annual transactions
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and architectural discussions
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and optimize system scalability for 99.99% uptime
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Conduct rigorous testing and debugging to ensure production-level code quality
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to engineering best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Java/Kotlin
- Expertise in distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Strong understanding of database technologies (PostgreSQL, Redis) and caching strategies
- Proven experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with fintech or high-transaction systems preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to operate in ambiguous environments
