Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance distributed systems using Go/Java
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices across the engineering organization
- Own system reliability through observability tools (Prometheus/Grafana)
- Mentor 2-3 junior engineers through pair programming and architecture workshops
- Represent engineering in cross-functional sprint planning and retrospectives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with cloud-native architectures
- Expertise in at least one modern programming language (Go, Java, Python)
- Proven track record with container orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS)
- Strong grasp of event-driven systems and message queuing (Kafka/RabbitMQ)
- Experience with infrastructure automation and DevOps practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated system design portfolio
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, remote-first environments
