Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-availability microservices using Go and Kubernetes
- Lead code reviews and architectural planning for new feature development
- Mentor 2-3 junior engineers through pair programming and technical workshops
- Optimize database queries and implement caching strategies for 99.99% uptime
- Collaborate with Product and UX teams to translate business requirements into technical specs
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Terraform infrastructure-as-code
- Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and drive systemic improvements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Go or Python
- Expertise in cloud-native architecture (AWS/GCP) and container orchestration
- Strong knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases
- Proven track record of mentoring engineering teams
- Experience with payment processing or financial systems compliance (PCI-DSS)
- Proficiency in test-driven development and behavioral interview techniques
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
