Responsibilities
- Lead development of microservices architecture using Go and Kubernetes
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS DevOps tools (CodePipeline, EKS)
- Mentor 3-5 junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Optimize database performance for PostgreSQL and Redis clusters
- Drive security best practices including OWASP compliance and vulnerability scanning
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to architectural decisions
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in backend development with Go/Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and serverless architectures
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven patterns
- Proven track record of mentoring engineering teams
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD automation and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with algorithmic aptitude
