Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices architecture using Go and Kubernetes
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization for AWS cloud deployments
- Mentor 3-4 junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specs
- Drive system reliability improvements with SLO monitoring and chaos engineering
- Contribute to open-source projects and present at local tech meetups
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Go/Java/Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and container orchestration
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems and API design principles
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Portfolio demonstrating complex system architectures
- Active Oregon driver's license (occasional client visits required)
