Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices in Java/Python for cloud-native security platforms
- Lead code reviews and architectural decisions for federal compliance projects
- Optimize system performance using Kubernetes and AWS/GCP infrastructure
- Develop CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Terraform for automated deployments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate security requirements into technical specifications
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Contribute to open-source security tools and publish technical whitepapers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of experience
- Expertise in secure coding practices and OWASP Top 10 mitigation strategies
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) with IaC implementation
- Strong background in RESTful API development and microservices architecture
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Active CISSP or AWS Security Specialty certification preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating contributions to production-scale security systems
- Ability to obtain federal clearance (US citizenship required)
