Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices architecture using AWS and Kubernetes
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming sessions
- Optimize system performance and scalability for 1M+ user transactions
- Lead CI/CD pipeline improvements using GitLab and Terraform
- Develop RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for mobile/web integrations
- Conduct security audits and implement OWASP best practices
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specs
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in backend development with Python/Node.js
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and container orchestration
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and database design (PostgreSQL/MongoDB)
- Proven track record of delivering production-grade applications
- Proficiency with testing frameworks (PyTest/Jest) and TDD methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience with fintech or high-transaction systems preferred
