Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact maritime IoT applications
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS DevOps tools including ECS and CodePipeline
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers on best practices
- Optimize database performance using PostgreSQL and Redis
- Develop RESTful APIs with comprehensive security protocols
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to technical roadmaps
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (5+ years experience accepted)
- Expert proficiency in Java, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proven track record building production-grade distributed systems
- Familiarity with maritime industry standards and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
