Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools (Splunk, Azure Sentinel) to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Lead Incident Response (IR) efforts, conducting thorough investigations and root cause analysis of security breaches.
- Perform threat hunting and proactive security monitoring to identify vulnerabilities before they are exploited.
- Manage vulnerability assessments and penetration testing reporting to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards.
- Collaborate with development and engineering teams to design secure architectures and implement security controls.
- Conduct security awareness training and produce weekly threat intelligence reports for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically within a Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Professional certification required: CISSP, GCIH, CISA, or CCISO.
- Expert knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, and endpoint protection technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automating security tasks.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (if applicable).
