Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify potential security gaps.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders during security breaches.
- Configure, maintain, and tune security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and NIST.
- Document security incidents, create playbooks, and continuously improve incident response procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or threat intelligence.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, or GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or PowerShell scripting for automation; strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and DLP solutions.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
