Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize prompt architectures for large language models including GPT-4, Claude, and open-source alternatives
- Develop systematic testing protocols for prompt effectiveness using A/B methodologies and human evaluation frameworks
- Create reusable prompt libraries and documentation for enterprise clients across finance, healthcare, and tech sectors
- Collaborate with ML engineers to fine-tune model behavior through iterative prompt refinement
- Lead prompt engineering workshops for cross-functional teams and client stakeholders
- Establish governance protocols for responsible AI interaction and bias mitigation
- Research emerging prompt engineering techniques and contribute to open-source initiatives
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering, NLP, or related AI development roles
- Proven track record of shipping production-level prompt systems with measurable impact
- Expertise in Python and experience with prompt frameworks like LangChain, Haystack, or LlamaIndex
- Deep understanding of transformer architectures and attention mechanisms
- Strong analytical skills with experience designing experiment-driven prompt optimization
- Excellent written communication with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating prompt engineering projects with quantifiable results
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
