What you'll do: Design, test, and refine advanced prompt architectures; collaborate with ML researchers to model outputs; develop evaluation frameworks for prompt efficacy; and mentor junior engineers in prompt engineering best practices. Work in our state-of-the-art lab overlooking San Diego's coastline.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize complex prompt strategies for LLM applications
- Create evaluation metrics to assess prompt effectiveness and output quality
- Document prompt libraries and engineering best practices
- Partner with data scientists to fine-tune model behavior
- Lead prompt optimization sprints for high-impact client projects
- Research emerging techniques in zero/few-shot learning
- Present prompt engineering methodologies to technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- 3+ years in prompt engineering or NLP development
- Expertise with GPT, Claude, or equivalent LLM APIs
- Strong Python programming and data analysis skills
- Experience with prompt optimization frameworks (e.g., LangChain)
- Published work in AI/ML or prompt engineering preferred
- Master's degree in CS, Computational Linguistics, or related field
- Portfolio demonstrating advanced prompt engineering projects
