Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced prompt engineering strategies for GPT-4, Claude, and proprietary LLMs
- Develop prompt libraries with version control and A/B testing frameworks
- Collaborate with data scientists to fine-tune model behavior through iterative prompt optimization
- Create documentation and training materials for cross-functional teams on prompt best practices
- Conduct red-teaming exercises to identify and mitigate prompt injection vulnerabilities
- Analyze user interaction data to continuously improve prompt performance metrics
- Lead workshops to standardize prompt engineering workflows across product teams
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with prompt engineering for production AI systems
- Expertise in NLP frameworks (spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers) and Python
- Proven track record of optimizing prompts for complex multi-turn conversations
- Familiarity with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow) for prompt lifecycle management
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret model behavior through qualitative and quantitative metrics
- Experience with ethical AI frameworks and bias mitigation in prompt design
- Portfolio demonstrating prompt optimization projects with measurable impact
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Linguistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
